Executive summary

Re:food invests where the food system is both solvable and investable. This report shows how those convictions translate into practice across our portfolio, and how impact and ESG considerations are built into every phase of our investment lifecycle.

It walks through our impact management process from sourcing through diligence to active ownership, sets out the outcomes we seek across our four themes, and assesses how much impact our portfolio companies are creating and the risks to delivering it. New this year, we added reporting around our Principal Adverse Impact indicators, the 14 mandatory and four voluntary metrics tracked under SFDR, giving a clearer, data-backed picture of our portfolio's footprint than in prior years.

Drawing on the Re:food Circle and the EAT-Lancet science, the report offers an honest account of where we are making progress, where data coverage and quality still need to improve, and how we are supporting portfolio companies to strengthen their sustainability practices as they scale.

As a company scales, so does its impact. By finding the companies best positioned to scale, we maximize the potential impact created through our investments.
